A birthmark is a blotch on our skin, which can appear in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes. While some birthmarks are small and inconspicuous, others have a more prominent appearance, which can be bothersome to most of people, and can even lower their self-esteem.
In some cases, certain types of birthmarks can become a health risk. Very few birthmarks do fade or completely disappear over time, however, there are others that will never fade or go away without a definitive treatment.
Many of people choose to treat their birthmarks as out of medical reason and other as a cosmetic luxury.
1. PRE OPERATIVE-
Initially the patient’s history is observed by dermatologist and the cause is known for the same then the treatment and sessions are decided to go for.
2. ACTUAL PROCEDURE-Birthmark removal treatment offers a solution to people who are self-conscious about their appearance and even help to reduce the possibility of health risks associated with certain birthmarks and can be seen as treatment for blemishes
For removal of Birthmarks Nd : YAG, Q switched laser, Pulse dye laser, IPL, CO2 Laser treatment for birthmark removal are effective modalities for these treatment. It can be used for tattoo removal laser and birthmark mole removal treatment. In a few percent of patients a surgical interventions may be required.
3. POST ROCEDURE- Between 3 to 25 sessions are required at interval of 6 to 7 weeks. It is usually advised to apply high SPF creams in exposure of sunlight. Also no scratching or using of any cosmetic over the treated place is recommended.
